Offerings
The practice currently takes three forms. They are not three separate methods, but three distances from the same central question: what here is mine, and what was handed to me?
Each engagement has a defined container without a predetermined curriculum. The work is shaped by the person entering it and by where the difficulty actually lives.
Someone who has thought about their life exhaustively may not need more explanation; someone with little language for what they are carrying may need to begin there. The method follows the problem rather than the other way around.
Purpose & Meaning
Initial Eight Week Engagement
Purpose & Meaning asks the central question at the scale of a life: the career, pace, obligations, ambitions and definitions of success that organize it.
People often arrive with a goal already in hand. The goal is not taken for granted simply because it is clear. Part of the work is discovering what is actually being pursued, why it matters, and whether the desire survives examination once approval, expectation, sunk cost and fear are separated from it.
A borrowed goal is not a failure of the process. Very often it is the material. Someone may discover that the reason a destination has never satisfied them is that it was never entirely theirs to begin with. That conclusion cannot simply be handed over at the start; it has to become visible through the work.
This engagement is for questions of direction, vocation, transition, ambition, identity, and the experience of having a life that works on paper but no longer feels fully inhabited.
Eight weeks is not a promise of a finished answer. The aim is reorientation: a clearer relationship to the question being asked, what is driving it, and what direction remains once inherited requirements become easier to distinguish from genuine desire.
Creative Sovereignty
Initial Eight Week Engagement
Creative Sovereignty asks the same question about the work itself: what in the creative life actually belongs to the person making it?
A creative voice is shaped by more than talent or taste. Family, industry, audience, economics, comparison and algorithm all exert pressure on what is made and on what a person learns to regard as legitimate. Over time, it can become difficult to distinguish the work one genuinely wants to make from the work one has become practiced at making for other people.
This is not a course in productivity or personal branding. It is for artists, writers, performers, musicians, filmmakers and other creative people whose work has gone quiet, become overmanaged, or begun to feel strangely distant from them.
The work may involve perfectionism, inhibition, audience consciousness, creative identity, inherited ideas about legitimacy and success, or the gap between the work someone privately recognizes as theirs and the work they have learned will be understood, employable or well received.
The aim is not to remove influence. Nobody creates outside culture, relationship or history. It is to become conscious enough of those influences that they stop being mistaken for the voice itself.
Depth & Individuation
Initial Twelve Week Engagement
Depth & Individuation brings the question closer to the psyche itself: what is being protected, what has been disowned, and what continues to operate outside conscious awareness?
This engagement goes further into Jungian work — persona, shadow, complex, dream, recurring image, projection and active imagination — alongside contemplative, hypnotic, linguistic and nervous-system work where appropriate.
It runs longer because orientation takes longer. Unconscious material does not benefit from being forced into a deadline, and individuation itself is not something that finishes in twelve weeks.
What twelve weeks can provide is a foundation: greater recognition of patterns that had previously been operating unseen, a developing relationship with unconscious material, and enough familiarity with the work to continue engaging it beyond the formal container.
The aim is not completion. It is a different relationship to what was previously running the life from underneath.
The Working Relationship
I cannot be the expert on who another person is. That is not modesty; it is one of the conditions the work depends on.
What is asked for is therefore not deference to me. If an old pattern is organized around external authority, turning the practitioner into another authority simply gives that pattern somewhere new to live. Authority, in the sense that matters here, returns to authorship.
What is required instead is collaboration in the looking: curiosity, a willingness to remain with a question longer than is comfortable, and enough commitment to carry the work beyond the session itself. Nothing is assigned that has not been agreed on together, and I am not the one doing the work on someone’s behalf.
A person does not need to arrive unusually self-aware, spiritually inclined, or certain of what they want. Uncertainty is workable. A borrowed goal is workable. Resistance is workable. What matters is some willingness to look at what is actually there.
This work is not psychotherapy, psychiatric care, medical treatment or diagnosis, and it does not replace them. Where clinical treatment is the appropriate instrument, that is what I will say.
