Every engagement begins with a thirty-minute conversation. Its only purpose is to work out whether this is the right thing, and to say so plainly if it is not.

Most people arrive at the point where the account they have of their own life has stopped explaining it. You don't need to have that clearly stated before booking. Stating it is most of what the first conversation is for.
